Kids Halloween Games

Halloween is one of the best holidays I think, for changing everyday kids games into a lot of fun. Below is a list of some of my favorite kids Halloween games that our family likes to enjoy this time of year.

* Mummy Wrap - Let your kids wrap you up in toilet paper or parents wrap the kids up. Either way, the children love it!

* Play Freeze Dance to Halloween related music. A little monster mash!

* Musical Pumpkins - Instead of chairs, sit on some big pumpkins.

* Everyone's childhood favorite - Ghost in the Graveyard

* Pumpkin Bowling – Set up some pins using plastic bottles or something similar. Instead of a bowling ball, use a pumpkin. The less round shaped the more fun it is!

* Scavenger Hunt – Hide Halloween related items; toy eyeballs, slime, ghost, etc.

* Halloween Bingo – Find Halloween related printed cards or make your own.

* Make a Spider Web – Kids stand in a circle and throw a ball of yarn back and forth to each other creating one gigantic spider web.

Happy Halloween Everyone!

Children's Nightmares - What To Do? (cont)

So about a month ago, I had the frightening experience of my 3 year old having a terrible nightmare where she thoughts bugs were biting her. All the way to the point where half awake she thought they were still in her room. Read the full details in my post Child Nightmares and Bad Dreams - HELP!. So I wanted to do a follow-up.

After about 4 days, she had semi forgotten about the bugs. It was no longer a problem putting her to bed and no more nightmares. Then about 3 weeks later, she had another nightmare, similar kind in which a crocodile was trying to get her. Now how she new anything about crocodiles much more than what they are and look like, I have no clue. However at least this time it wasn't as bad and she did get back to sleep. Since then we have been nightmare free.

So my question is if anyone else can shed some light on nightmares their children are or are not having? Does your child have these vivid of nightmares? Is this common? Many of my friends don't have kids yet, so this is a complete first time mom needs help request. Is there anything I can do as a parent to help limit the amount of nightmares my child has?

Any feedback or shared stories are greatly appreciated.
